Pastor Marcus Flores was born on May 19, 1979 in Lockney, Texas. After completing his primary education in the Plainview public schools, Pastor Flores began his academic journey at High-Tech institute in Phoenix, Arizona. However, it was during this time Pastor Flores was battling with multiple addictions to various drugs. After dropping out of college, he returned home and that is where he met the love of his life and future wife, Yvonne Rodriguez. They now have three sons Dylan Marcus, Josiah Evan, and Tayvian Kash.
On July 20, 2001, Pastor Flores got saved at New Life Assembly of God in Plainview. Three days after his salvation, at work (pouring concrete), a crane ball, weighing 250 pounds, snapped from about 50 feet and crushed his body. With his left side paralyzed, broken shoulder blade, broken ribs, and internal bleeding, he was lifted in a helicopter to Lubbock, Texas. The doctors were amazed he was alive and could still walk.
It was during this time that Pastor Flores found out God is a healer! After being in the hospital for four days, he was released with very minimal movement in his left arm. He quickly learned of his prayer closet and seeking God. It was in one of these moments with God he heard a voice say, “Lift your arm”. So he picked his fully functioning arm, but he heard the voice again say, “No, lift your other arm”. Thinking to himself, he said, “This is going to hurt”, and slowly but surely his left arm raised all the way up which he had not been able to do since the accident. The next day at his doctor appointment, the orthopedic doctor took an x-ray and then asked him to do certain movements. The doctor’s eyes grew big as he would look at Pastor Flores then look at the x-ray back-and-forth! With amazement in his eyes and in his voice, he said, “Do you see that x-ray? Do you see your shoulder blade that looks like shattered glass and a chunk of bone missing?! It is medically impossible for you to be moving your arm the way you are”! GOD IS A HEALER! Immediately following, Pastor Flores began going into the county jail house, and then into the prisons to preach the gospel and share his testimony and bring hope to anyone that felt hopeless. Afterwards, he was placed into youth ministry where he and his wife served for many years, also leading home groups. From there, he was assigned as the Associate Pastor.
In 2009, the Spirit of God led Pastor Flores and his wife to plant a church in Plainview. With multiple successful businesses, it was time for them to primarily focus on the call that God had led Pastor Flores to live out.
In 2011, Pastor Flores graduated from Ever Increasing Word Training Center from Darrow, Louisiana. He has continued expanding his education through various ministries and studying nonstop to know more about God and what God has for his people. His compassion for God’s people is portrayed in the way he leads and pastors. His leadership also takes him beyond the walls of the church, as he have begun a new ministry, LoveMission 3.24, as they build beds for children in our area that have been abandoned, abused, and neglected and left homeless without a bed. He always has the Kingdom of God on his mind and is always looking how he can help advance the Kingdom in anyway.
